The quartet has been enthusiastically received wherever it has performed, and their playing has been described as “extraordinary”, “beautiful” and “marvellous”.

Summer 2018

We have three concerts coming up at beautiful venues.  The programme for all three will feature celebrated quartets by Mozart (the ‘Hunt’) and Dvorak (the ‘American’), as well as two shorter works by Arvo Pärt and Imogen Holst, daughter of Gustav (composer of The Planets). Imogen was a fine composer in her own right and taught at Dartington for many years. The programme demonstrates the way these composers weave indigenous cultural influences into their music. All will be explained at the concerts…!

Bratton Clovelly was treated to something special: a quartet whose sensitivity to the music and to each other’s playing was so palpable that the audience sat captivated, hushed and utterly engaged.
